Norman was a faithful and active member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon, Elder, and Trustee, including several years as Clerk of the Session. He would want to be remembered most for his love of the Lord, which guided him through the days of his life.

Surviving Norman are their four children, Barbara Gentry and husband Terry of Nashville, TN; Patty Goedecke and husband Martin of El Dorado, KS; Mary Stanley and husband Craig of Oklahoma City; and Kenneth Edwards and wife Elizabeth Ridenour Edwards of Plano, TX. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a half-sister, Lila Swann and husband Joe of Amarillo, TX.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jewell in 2002, his parents, and one infant granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 17, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Ponca City.
