Dwane O. Londagin, Ponca City resident, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at home surrounded by his family. He was 84.

A service will be held at 10am on Friday, Sept. 7, 2007 in the chapel of the Trout Funeral Home with Rev. Maxine Londagin officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army.

Dwane Orval Londagin, the son of Joseph and Mary (Mullin) Londagin, was born on Aug. 30, 1923 in Thomas, Okla. He received his early education in Thomas and then attended Fay High School in the 9th grade until graduation. Dwane joined the United States Army in 1943 and proudly served our country in Europe during WWII.

On Jan. 18, 1946 Dwane was united in marriage to Justine Didier in South Haven, Kan. They lived in Enid for several years and attended Willow Road Christian Church before moving to Ponca City in 1964. Dwane loved camping and traveling. He was an avid mountain hiker at 10,000 to 13,000 feet elevation at the age of 82 years old. He was a loving, caring person and a great father. A true friend to his sons, he taught them honesty, integrity and the value of standing by friends and family. Dwane will be greatly missed in the lives of many.

He is survived by his loving wife Justine, of the home; sons, Larry Londagin of Wichita and Kenneth Londagin of Augusta, Kan.; one sister, Thelma Havice and husband Charley of Augusta, Kan., grandson, Justin Londagin and wife Jennifer of Augusta, Kan., great-grandson, Grady Austin Londagin; sisters-in-laws, Maxine Londagin and Alta Londagin.

Dwane was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Londagin.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 N. Union, suite 103, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Casket bearers will be Charley Havice, Justin Londagin, Mike Londagin, Ed Londagin, Randy Londagin and Ervin Londagin.

Honorary casket bearers are Carl and Lou Peirce, Dub and Jackie Hart and Donnie and Lela Spangler.
