Doris Leah Dollison Cline

Doris L.Cline, a former Ponca City resident, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the Bellevue Health and Rehabilitation Center. Doris was born on May 4, 1920 to James Dollison and Dora Derringer Dollison on the family farm northwest of Davenport, OK. She was the fourth of five children. Her early life on the farm was simple, but hard. Drawing water from their well, using kerosene lamps and cooking on a wood stove were all part of her daily routine.
On March 12, 1940, she married Herbert James Cline in Cushing, Oklahoma and the union produced seven children, all currently living. Doris enjoyed quilting, knitting, cooking and caring for her family. Doris was a charter member of the Northeast Baptist Church where she remained active for many years. She was also a long time member of the Valley View Extension Club. She enjoyed helping people and volunteering her services with the Dept. of Human Services where she made quilts for the needy. She often prepared meals at the Friendship Feast sponsored by the First Christian Church. She volunteered her time at The Caboose, My Favorite Things and the Senior Center. Doris also enjoyed travelling and visited Israel, Europe and Canada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert James Cline, brothers James Dollison of Davenport, OK and, Charles "Buster" Dollison, of Kensington, KS, and a sister, Violet Lynch of Davenport, OK.

Survivors include her beloved seven children: Glenda Webb of Oklahoma City; Herbert Larry Cline and his wife Debbie of Dallas, TX; Phillip Cline of Tulsa, OK; Nova McDugle and her husband Norman of Cleveland, OK; David Cline and his wife Connie of Mustang, OK; Jerry Cline and his wife Patty of Broken Arrow, OK; and Jimmy Cline and his wife Bernadette of Mustang, OK. She is also survived by a Sister, Naoma Langwell, of Chandler, OK, Doris has thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends and loved ones may pay their respects at the funeral home from 1pm-8pm Sunday, May 21. A funeral ceremony to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00pm Monday, May 22, at Northeast Baptist Church, 2200 N. Pecan Road, Ponca City, OK 74604 with Dr. Larry Nigh officiating. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Herbert, at the Longwood Cemetery east of Ponca City. Casket bearers will be Phil Cline, Kelsey Cline, Devin Cline, Matt Cline, Chris Cline, and Marc Cline. Honorary casket bearers are Kevin McDugle, Kyle Cline, Damon Webb, and Norman McDugle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Northeast Baptist Church, 2200 N. Pecan Road, Ponca City, OK 74604.
