Phyllis Mae Billings, age 93, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away May 4, 2019, in Ponca City. Phyllis was born on January 13, 1926 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to Pearlie Francis and Cora Pearl (Cook) Headrick. Phyllis graduated from Bowlegs High School in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. After graduation, she passed the Civil Service test and began working at the Pentagon for the Judge Advocate General's Office. She married Ralph E. Billings on September 24, 1947 in Shidler, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Seminole, Oklahoma, prior to moving to Ponca City, where Ralph worked for Continental Oil Company. Phyllis then worked as a secretary for the Grand Avenue Church of Chirst for 23 years. She was diligent; working with bible class, church functions and helping with meals. She was an encouragement to many young mothers; which inspired her to open and run a daycare from her home for three years.

The greatest joy Phyllis had, was being a great wife, loving mother and grandmother. She understood the importance of being a Christ like example, not only to her family, but her friends and church family as well. She was the rock her family turned to in times of trouble and she always made you feel that it would all work out for the good. The example of unconditional love that she gave, will live on in the lives of her children and all those she touched.

Survivors include: two children, Carolyn Burleson and husband Homer of El Reno, Oklahoma, Danny Billings and his wife, Dagne of Westcliffe, Colorado. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Tamie Holbrook of El Reno, Oklahoma, Wana Newman and husband, Kelly of Hinton, Oklahoma, Rod Ellison and wife, Candi of El Reno, Oklahoma, Sommer Baker and husband, Austin of Owasso, Oklahoma, Chris Billing and wife, Candace of Bixby, Oklahoma, Michelle Rafferty and husband, Marc of Jenks, Oklahoma, Luke Cobb and wife, Taryn of Ponca City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Headrick and his wife, Marilyn of Las Vegas, Nevada; Loran and his wife Ella of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Preceding in death were: her parents; sister, Ruth Tinsley; daughter Tinya Kay Cobb and the love of her life, husband Ralph

Honorary casket bearers are Chris Billings, Dallas Ellison, Briar Ellison, Austin Baker, Montana Holbrook, Ryan Rafferty, Luke Cobb and Caleb Gatz.
